IHouse of Grace- The verse
But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15
What it says
Joshua spoke these words to the people of Israel near the end of his life, after they had settled in the promised land. It is a decision spoken out loud: whatever others choose, this home belongs to God.
He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalm 91:2
What it says
Psalm 91 is a song about God's protection in times of danger. In this verse the writer speaks for himself: God is his refuge and his fortress, and he chooses to trust Him.
If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31
What it says
Paul writes this after describing everything God has done for His people. It reads less like a question than a conclusion: when God is on your side, nothing that stands against you has the final word.
With God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26
What it says
Jesus says this to His disciples when they wonder who can be saved at all. What is impossible for people is not impossible for God.
